In addition, computerized and/or streamlined the Company accounting function, and contributed policy inputs in the areas of Administration / HRD/ IR. Facilitated conclusion of settlements with the Trade Unions. § In 1991-92 in coordination with then Commissioner of Excises & Customs at Bombay, represented to the Ministry of Finance as to how then MODVAT procedure was disparaging clearance of indigenous goods to Exporters located in Free Trade Zones & Export Processing Zones. Ensured a follow-up with the Collectorate/ Ministry of Finance and got amended the MODVAT Rules under the Central Excises & Salt Act, 1944. This amendment facilitated free of duty clearance of indigenous goods to Exporters located in Free Trade Zones & Export Processing Zones, which resulted in savings of lakhs of Rupees duties to my Employer and Trade in general all over India.
